PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS

The Armory offers a fun place to go after school for food, crafts, sports and even a little tutoring thrown in! Check out the various programs available from basketball clinics to arts and crafts or just a place to hang out with friends. We have something for all ages and our after school programs are FREE for students in grades 6-12.

Babysitting Certification

Learn a variety of applicable techniques to help you be a

great babysitter! Earn the SafeSitter Certification. Add your name to our list provided

to parents looking for certified sitters for their little ones!

Next offered over 4 sessions after school September and October 2021. There is a charge for this class - contact us for scholarships.

A six week program for teens to learn how to grocery shop, cook on a limited budget, and make and take healthy meals home! Offered in partnership with MSU Extension Office and a grant from Farm Bureau Knizacky Insurance Agency

Pet Care Certification

Learn how to care for a pet and market your newly acquired

Junior Achievement

The Armory Youth Project is partnering with Junior Achievement (JA) of Northwest Michigan to offer 

programs that foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students in our community to dream big and reach their potential.

Sports Activities/Clinics

JAZZERCISE!

Offered free to Armory students very Monday and Wednesday 6 pm to 7 pm.

 

Parent/Grandparents find this is a fun way to exercise together!

Open Gym 

Drop in and shoot some hoops every Thursday from 3:30 pm until 5 pm.  

Archery Tag is Back in October! 

Sign up for this fun activity - we need at least 6 students to have a great game of tag using modified bows and arrows. Use the inflated barriers to hide behind and channel your inner Hunger Games character to win!

Study Room/Quiet Room

Wi-Fi and Chrome books available, along with a quiet place to study.

Tutoring is available with volunteers upon request and by appointment.
